Sales Manager
What you will do:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Marketing Communications & Strategic Initiatives, you will:
- Implement the Sport Tourism and Major Events sales strategy.
- Develop business and secure hosting rights for events and meetings with a broad range of tourism related benefits for the Saint John region.
- Define critical success factors, monitor progress, and prepare work plans and tactics.
- Oversee marketing development activities and input into related research projects to promote the benefit of sport tourism and major events, including economic impact.
- Manage partnerships to ensure relationships with municipalities, colleges, universities and sports facilities (private and public) are collaborative, productive and mutually beneficial.
- Build relationships with key industry and local sporting event planners.
- Attend industry trade shows and conventions to represent and sell the Saint John region as a preferred Sport Tourism and Major Event destination.
- Research best practices, new opportunities, and trends.
