Regional Growth Agency Launches Contest for Visitors & Residents to Explore the Saint John Region

SAINT JOHN: Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency is encouraging visitors and residents to take in all the Saint John region has to offer this summer with a contest that encourages people to share their favourite experiences for a chance to win $500 in gas money.
“As fuel prices rise, this contest aims to incentivize financial investments into the businesses and tourist attractions throughout the region,” said Paulette Hicks, CEO of Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency. “Not only will this promote and support the business community in the Saint John region, but it will also help provide some financial relief for people at the pumps.”
Launching on Canada Day, and running for ten weeks until September 8, 2022, 500 Reasons to Discover Saint John & The Towns By The Bay will encourage participants to submit photos of their favorite ways to discover the region, and showcase a blog series highlighting the winners’ love for Saint John and the Towns by the Bay. The contest will run on Facebook and Instagram through Envision Saint John’s destination channel, @DiscoverSaintJohn.
There will be one $500 winner per week, for a total of $5,000 is prizes.
“From our cool city vibes to waterside relaxation, there are countless reasons to spend the summer discovering all our region has to offer,” Hicks said. “We look forward to capturing some hidden gems and elevating classic adventures through this initiative.”
