Atlantic Canada to welcome the world from Dec. 3-9

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada has announced that the town of Quispamsis, N.B., will host the 2023 Para Hockey Cup, Dec. 3-9. It will be the fourth time the town has hosted a Hockey Canada event.

Canada’s National Para Hockey Team will compete for gold with three other countries at the Quispamsis qplex. Each team will play three preliminary-round games, with the semifinals taking place on Dec. 8 and the bronze medal and gold medal games set for Dec. 9.

Quispamsis has previously hosted the 2016 Men’s U18 National Club Championship, co-hosted the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge with the city of Saint John, N.B., and was the site of a 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship pre-tournament game between the United States and Finland.

“Our region has shown outstanding support for the various events we’ve been able to bring to the qplex,” said Aaron Kennedy, chair of the local host organizing committee. “We know we can rely on our tremendous volunteer and fan bases to ensure we have another successful tournament.”

The full schedule, ticket packages, single-game tickets and broadcast information will be announced prior to the tournament.
