Envision Saint John Launches New Online Visitor Experience Ambassador Training

SAINT JOHN: Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency launched a new online certification course aimed to provide frontline staff in the Saint John Region with a development opportunity to grow their knowledge of the region and learn about tools and resources available to help provide accurate and timely information to visitors and residents.

“We’re working to ensure our region is equipped with ambassadors that can be experts on everything we have to offer,” explained Marcy Barnes, Manager of Organizational Effectiveness and Welcome Centre Lead at Envision Saint John. “For those welcoming residents and visitors into their business, this course is a great way to ensure you’re providing consistent information and services, while encouraging visitors to stay, play, and return.”

To date more than 160 people have registered to take the training and 80 have completed the 90-minute self-paced online course since May 29, 2023.

“Through our Visitor Experience Ambassador Training, we are not only educating staff in the region about our “No Wrong Door” service model, but also continuing to extend our visitor services to new residents in the Saint John Region,” said Jillian MacKinnon, Acting Co-CEO at Envision Saint John. “The online training was originally designed for frontline staff but ultimately every business and resident in the Saint John Region is an ambassador to attract people, talent, business and investment.”
